Can tamsulosin cause ejaculation to cease?

After a few years on 5 mg daily of finasteride, I found little improvement of the effects of enlarged prostate. About a year ago, GP therefore added 400 mcg daily of tamsulosin. Recently I've found I no longer ejaculate at climax. This isn't a problem, but it's strange and I wonder whether the tamsu...

Re: Help please

Hi, Mizzgeee! Gary's reply is brilliant, but allow me to come back on your "Also realistically how much weight should you expect to lose in a week or month?" I was horrified today to receive a message from WeightWatchers saying people losing more than a couple of pounds a week for four wee...

Re: Help.

Hi, Keely! You don't say how much variety you currently have in your diet, well, in your evening meal. Nor do you say anything about the toast you take - a couple of slices of brown toast a day is fine, with low fat non-sweet spread (eg low fat cottage cheese/houmos) and as much salad as you can eat...

Re: Dealing with stretch marks from weight loss

Just a note to say I've tried professionals yesterday and today: (a) Boots' pharmacist ... had no hesitation in recommending a product called Bio-oil. The colleague who then showed me this on the shelf said it's extremely costly (which it is, something like £10 for a small bottle) but the only thing...

Re: 100% reliable, comprehensive nutrition info

Wow - never come across NHS apps before: many thanks, Julie. Lots of interesting apps there - though the one you mention, like perhaps most, is for Apple and Android products only ... not my BlackBerry. I'll try it in my tablet tomorrow, though.

Bestest - Eric

Re: Advice

Excellent posting, that, Wendy, and great support for Gary's devastatingly simple message. But I'd like diffidently to ask Gary and you whether any overweight but healthy adult in Britain is ever hungry? I wonder how many days one would have to fast before feeling really hungry? But very good advice...

Re: Dealing with stretch marks from weight loss

Thanks, Rosy, for the response and the link. The link isn't to a VERY old posting - 2012 - but I must say it frightens me a bit. The respondent (who gets off on the wrong foot to me by saying "stretch-marks ... arise when the external muscle or epidermis of the body is stretched", though t...

Re: 100% reliable, comprehensive nutrition info

Thanks, Julie, for (a) the link to NHS's "What is a healthy, balanced diet?" - a generally clear and sensible page with, also, a number of useful links elsewhere; (b) the info about bananas - which tells me I shouldn't snack on them (I tend to snack on half a dozen plus about half a dozen ...

Re: Yo-yo dieting

The programme was a four part series called "the men who made us thin". http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03863jg I think it was Episode 1 that contained the Weight Watchers former director. This is great, folks, and Gary is to be congratulated! It was a four-part BBC2 series last August (...

Dealing with stretch marks from weight loss

I was tempted to add this query to the new mother's query (to whom congratulations of course) but feared it might be sexist or, anyway, lost. I'm just in my 70s and have come down from 17.5 stone to below 13 stone in three years - with over two stone loss in the last three months with WeightWatchers...
