Re: dry skin on hands

Dry skin, eczema, fungal infections and psoriasis are common skin conditions that can cause this. If simple moisturisers and creams such as Dactacort don't help then you should show your GP. Dr Webberley

Re: DRY SCALING REDDY PATCHES ON TOP& SIDE OF LEFT FOOT

Re: Leaking urine

Hi Ron, anyone with any new symptoms should get a check up and not blame age alone. See your GP, have an examination and a blood test and then if it all comes back OK you can sleep easy. Dr Webberley

Re: What to expect after prostate operations?

Hi John, there are lots of different treatments which may affect the urinary flow and the sexual function. Prostate cancer feeds off testosterone - so part of the treatment involved reducing your testosterone by some method and this unfortunately can have an affect on your libido and sexual function...

Re: Will having a healthier lifestyle help?

It's a tricky one isn't it, the balance between living a healthy lifestyle and doing unhealthy things that make you happy! It depends on how old and set in his ways he is. I often see relatives pushing their parents to stop smoking, cut out the beer, eat well, drink lots, exercise more etc when actu...

Re: What are the chances of getting cancer again?

Hi there, cancer can be such a scary thing and some people just like to hide their head and push it away. PSA is a tricky one because a positive test doesn't necessarily mean you have cancer and a negative one doesn't mean you don't! However, if a man wants...

Re: Cysts on testicles

You can have cysts on the pipework around the testicle (epididymis) and also on the skin around the testicles (scrotum) and these are very common and usually do not cause any problems apart from some discomfort. Any lumps on the actual testicle need to be looked at and checked by a doctor. The ones ...

Re: Sexual Activity

Hi there, it sounds like you had an awful time. Thankfully this is extremely rare, but awful when it happens. I am sad that it has put you off future tests, please do make sure you discuss the risks fully each time you consider any tests. As for sexual activity - absolutely fine to go ahead :-) Dr W...
