Why confine the discussion to IPF?

Why is this forum confined to discussions regarding IPF. There are many people out there who have Pulmonary Fibrosis who feel they are being neglected as the medical profession only seems to be focussing on IPF.

Why confine the discussion to IPF?

Why is this forum confined to discussions regarding IPF. There are many people out there who have Pulmonary Fibrosis who feel they are being neglected as the medical profession only seems to be focussing on IPF.

Not all people with IPF go downhill as fast as your mother. I was diagnosed in 2006 and I am sure that I had the condition for many years before that. There are new drugs coming available which are designed to slow down the progression of the illness. You are right to be concerned and you should ask...

I was told to practice breathing using the diaphragm rather than the chest muscles. I suggesy you try this, lie flat on your back and place one hand on the chest and one on the abdomen. As you breathe in try to make the abdomen rise whilst the chest remains still. And once you can do that then try b...

why is this forum confined to IPF?

There are a lot of patients who suffer from Pulmonary Fibrosis where they are being treated differently from IPF patients as they also have another comorbidity. Why is the medical profession and many of the charities only focussing on treatments for IPF?
