Hi. It is very common for acne to continue into your 30's. The distribution of your acne suggests it may be related to a high level of androgen in your system. This is often helped by the combined contraceptive pill, but sometimes it can make things worse and the progesterone only pill can certainly...

Re: Lamellar ichthysosis

There was a paper written in one of the journals some time ago about gene therapy and LI, but I do not know of any further advances, I believe research is still being undertaken. It is not clear where you live but there are several organisations that provide information and support. The Foundation f...

Re: Scarred skin

It is difficult to comment without the luxury of examining you, and it may be best for you to consult your doctor but you might try using bio-oil which is available over the counter. Check with your pharmacist.

Re: Constipation problems

It sounds as if your problem may be stress related or possibly due to a change of diet when you are away, as you seem to be fine at home.
I am however concerned about you passing some mucus , and suggest you consult with a doctor.

Re: stomach problems

Recurrence of H pylori infection is rare , but can occur in around 3 per cent of cases. Recolonisation with the same organism is usually the cause. Your GP can arrange a simple breath test for you, but not a blood antibody test as you have been previously infected.

Re: How do I make my stools easier to pass?

You do not mention relevant factors such as age, medications , and your general health , but it is not normal to have to manually evacuate despite taking laxatives. I strongly suggest you consult with you GP in the near future.

Re: Stomach Problems

From what you say, I am really concerned about your father , and suspect he has a very serious medical condition. I suggest you express your concerns to his GP as a matter of urgency or alternatively call 111 for advice. I hope I am wrong.

There are a number of things it could be, but without a much more detailed history I cannot speculate. You really should see your GP.

Re: contraception

I agree with Helen. You must talk to her to see if there are any other issues. Oral contraception has been linked to mood changes and can cause a change in the metabolism of Tryptophan and Vitamin B6.I suggest your Daughter talks to the prescriber.
