constant light-medium bleeding

I am 36 and have been married for 11 years. I have always had painful heavy irregular periods. In 2014 I haemorrhaged and had a haemoglobin level of 4. I had a blood transfusion and I was put on Tranexamic acid and Norethisterone. I was told I have PCOS and when they carried out a Hysteroscopy, the...

Post-Menopausal Blood streaking

I had menopause about 7 years ago, which started at 48-49. I have been having low pelvic discomfort and lower back pain since March this year and one occurrence of dark coloured, blood streaks back in June. Also upper abdominal pain since November. CT scan in January stated possible fibroid, but Ul...

digestive system issues

I never seem to get a restful nights sleep due to an active digestive system with lots of gurgling etc. I don't eat particularly late and not large meals but my gut seems to come alive at night and it can be uncomfortable as I often feel pressure so have to sometimes sit up to sleep. What could be ...

Insomnia after eating out

This is a bit strange but whenever I eat out at a chinese or have a chinese takeaway and after a thai meal once too, I have a really strange time when trying to get to sleep. I feel totally wired and then have awful nightmares. I've heard it could be something called MSG that they add to their food...

Intermittent sleeper

Generally I go to bed and go to sleep quickly. However after a few hours I wake and then can't get back to sleep. I've read that bananas are good for aiding sleep - is this the case and if so how far before going to sleep should you eat one?

Thank you, Hayley

Lichen sclerosus & dermatitis

I was initially diagnosed with vulval lichen sclerosis, 6 months ago, now I’m being told it looks unlikely, more like dermatitis/eczema. With no concrete diagnosis should I treat it as LS to be cautious due to the risk of it developing to cancer, I.e frequent steroid use even without symptoms. Or, ...

Topical Steroids

I am currently using topical steroids and I am aware that they shouldn't be used long term. However, I'm worried that this might be the only option for treatment for me. I'm also concerned about topic steroid withdrawal. How would you suggest coming off them? How long would you advise using them fo...

Eczema & Diet

I suffer from eczema and wonder whether certain foods are causing me inflammation of the condition.

Should I be looking more at my diet with regards to managing my eczema? If so are there certain foods that I should be looking at reducing in my diet?

Thank you, Ruth
