Moles - should they get checked?

Spent a number of years as a child in East Africa, where the family were careful about protection from the sun. Nevertheless, I have some moles (which are not troubling me) and have never had them checked. Is it a good idea to have a mole check, and if so where in London would be a good place to go ...

Highly sensitive skin

For many years I have suffered from acne and then eczema which is helped by keeping the skin moisturised with prescribed emollients: Diprobase, Dermol 500, Aquamax, Doublebase Gel. 4 years ago after day surgery for appendix I ended up 11 days in hospital with sepsis. The treatment with antibiotics w...

Skin reaction to the vaccine?

Since double vaccinated I've had a rash from hands, arms, shoulders, legs, outer thighs, sides. The topical steroid my GP usually prescribes for my occasional very dry patches doesn't work and the rash isn't going away although some days better than others depending if I am hot or not. I've had it t...

Eczema

I had very bad eczema for the first time last year at the age of 73. It was so bad my face was almost deformed with my eyes closed up. I saw a private Dermatologist who put me on 4 different steriod creams and told me to stay on them for between 6-12 weeks. Having read all the awful feedback on long...

DSAP

I’d like to know more about a skin condition I’ve been diagnosed with in September last year after a biopsy it's called DSAP …all I’ve been told is there is no cure and I have a small chance it could turn to skin cancer and apparently very limited treatment. Any information would be much appreciated...

Lamellar Ichthyosis

I live in Portugal. I actually have Lamellar Ichthyosis. But I found that a creme that works for Psoriasis works for me. I think in the UK it is called Dovonex; active ingredient Calcipotriol. It cannot be used all over the body but only in certain places where it can alleviate the skin pressures. I...

Spotty rashes in the sun

When on a sun holiday, I always end up with itchy red spotty rashes on my skin. Prickly heat? I use suntan lotion, take antihistamine tablets for a week prior and during my holiday and stay out of the sun as much as possible. Is there any way to prevent this or if not any way to treat it effectively...

Erythema annular centrifugum

My question is about Erythema annular centrifugum which I've had in my upper inner thigh/groin area and armpits for more than 7 years (I am 47) My dermatologist only diagnosed this recently after going back and forth to various doctors. However he could offer no cure or prevention. My question is: a...
