My mother was diagnosed with this condition 18 months ago.She follows the exercises and stretches taught by the physio in the morning and evening plus walks a mile, 5 days a week. However in the last 2 months I have noticed her posture is leaning more forward and says it hurts to straighten her back...

I am a new carer to a family member with osteoarthritis in the Base of the back.I have been advised to use Deep Heat or Voltarol to rub in.Has anyone used any of these and what did you find?
