Re: IBS constipation

Hi Kathleen Your post sounds like you are really struggling. I can appreciate that you are desperate for some advice which is going to change your physical health. I just wanted to add that while talking therapy may not be able to reduce your inflammation, it may still help to be able to talk to som...

Re: IBS & Testing

Hi Keri As you and Dr Naghibi mention, anxiety may be contributing to your condition, so therapy, whether CBT or another form of talking therapy, might be a good way to think about how anxiety might be impacting you, and any changes you might want to make. Similarly, your condition itself might be c...

Re: 10 year old with constipation issues since 18months old

Hi, it sounds like this has been an incredibly stressful difficulty so it is understandable that you feel at your wit's end. I am sure it was very frustrating to have the appointment moved when it might have felt as if you were finally going to get somewhere with things. Is there somebody that you c...

Re: Bowel Incontinence

I would really encourage you to speak to your nurse again. It's really difficult that you felt too embarrassed to tell her, and understandable because these aren't things that in daily life we share with each other. However, your incontinence nurse has specialised in this area and talks about this e...

Re: Problems with fecal / flatulence incontinence

Hi Margaret, I really recommend that you speak to your GP about your ongoing difficulties. They might encourage you to try biofeedback therapy again, but for a longer time, to give you a chance to retrain your body, or there may be other types of treatment to try, or lifestyle changes you could make...

Re: Gay man

Hi, I'm not sure what issues you are struggling with but I really recommend that you speak to your GP. Your GP will be very used to having discussions that patients find difficult, and it may be important to consider different possibilities that might be causing your symptoms.

Re: Bowel Rupture

It sounds as if you have been through an incredibly difficult time. I would really recommend that you consider joining a support group (either online or face to face), or find a therapist that you can talk to. You may be able to access this support via your GP so I recommend that you start by explai...

Re: Itching

Hi it sounds as if you may have haemorrhoids (also know as piles). You can speak to your pharmacist or your GP who will be very used to helping people with this issue. You might also want to make some dietary changes to ensure that you don’t get constipated which may be what is causing the piles.

Re: Medicine for ADHD

Please don’t buy medicines online. Instead I recommend that you speak to your GP who will be able to prescribe you any medication as required or will refer you to a specialist.

Re: New partner and erection issues

Hi there. Thanks for being so open, I am sure you are not alone in your experience. You mention the heart break and anguish you feel responsible for, and your post suggests that you are expecting others to judge you (and you may have experienced this from people around you) and I wonder if that migh...
