Re: A slip in confidence.

I know this is a bit late but, I totally get how you feel. Some days, it's like I don't even want to face the world, everything just feels better in the comfort of my bed, even if I am bleeding all over. But what I have learnt is that that's not true. I used to always be negative about my condition ...

For people w/ eczema that are in relationships

Hi everyone, So, I've suffered with eczema since I was 2 months old and am now, 17 years old. As I grow older, there are times when I think, this will just fizzle out and eventually cure itself, but all that has happened is my eczema getting worse. I have it nearly everywhere (my thighs, arms, chest...

Phototherapy

Hi everybody, this is my first ever post on this forum, despite being here for quite a while now. I suffer from atopic dermatitis and have since I was 2 months old. I recently had the opportunity to undergo a phototherapy treatment (due to it being approved by my health insurance) and wanted to know...

Re: eczema on face

whenever i get eczema on my face i usually use Protopic Ointment and moisturise my face extra often and that tends to work like a charm. But i do have to remind you that this is a steroid medicine so may only be a short term solution as eczema in my face does come back time to time; but it may be a ...

Re: I feel like a social outcast

I think the most annoying part is when they say "just stop scratching then" and I'm like "Oh thank God! You've cured it- my eczemas gone and my skin is smooth! Why didn't I think of this sooner" Some people are just dense and thick about eczema so I try not to take it too persona...

Re: Just want someone to talk to

Hey there. I know exactly how you feel as I got eczema when I was just a month old and I'm 16 now. The thought of feeling different really effects me mentally but I'm fortunate enough to be surrounded with people who do not just see me as my condition. It also took a long time but I've learnt to lov...

Re: I look and feel like crap

Hey Abbas! I totally understand how you feel, I've had my eczema since I was a month old and I'm 16 now. I used to feel very insecure with my skin and it was worse when it would spread to my face especially. It took me a long time but I taught myself to be comfortable with who I am and how I look an...

Re: eczema and exams - depressed

Hey there. So sorry to hear how you're feeling; I know exactly how it feels to think about the eczema and how it looks, sometimes even the mirror is our worst enemy. But stay strong, it's the patience and strength that toughens us up sometimes. I've had eczema all my life and have recently accepted ...
