Itching and health psychology

Hi. I think my skin itching feels a bit worse when I pay attention to it. My itching is at least partly related to food intolerances / gut issues (bacteria dysbiosis / leaky gut /ibs). I don't have any rash. Drinking lots of water helps, and using skin emoilliant. What guidance do you have for manag...

Hormones

I was privately treated naturally for high oestrogen (heavy periods etc). But now my oestrogen has gone low, my periods haven't returned after nearly two years. I wasn't symptomatic of the perimenopause particularly. Does it matter for my body that this has happened, and that this might be my menopa...

SIBO

Hello Diagnosed with Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth, with hydrogen sulphide (excess sulphur producing gas). Recently found that Taurine supplement reduces my migraine headaches. But I'm confused by information about taurine and it's links with sulphur. Will taurine supplementation prevent SIBO...

Rosacea

Hello

This might not be your area... but I'm interested in the link between rosacea and dry eyes. How can dry eye symptoms be minimised, beyond eye drops, drinking lots of water, Omega 3 ? This is a chronic long term issue, and ophthalmic suggestions have already been tried.

Thanks.

Dry facial skin

Hello. Skin seems drier with age. Due partly to lower oestrogen maybe? It's a struggle to hydrate facial skin enough, to avoid continuous peeling/molting. Especially around the nose which feels sore and dry. This is despite using a hydrating toner after gentle cleansing, and hydrating serums and moi...

Bumpy skin

Hello. Chin has had bumpy skin for decades, since adolescence. The tiny bumps aren't painful, but the skin isn't smooth, and doesn't really change over time. They're not regular pimples/acne/milia. What is the cause? Is it some type of congestion? I've noticed that other people sometimes get raised ...

No periods

Having had low oestrogen levels (after being treated naturally for high oestrogen), and low body weight, there's been no menstruation for nine months now... (not pregnant), at age 47. Body weight has now normalised. Will periods return? Or might it blur into perimenopause? Don't know if oestrogen no...

SIBO

Hello, Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO): Are all NHS gastroenterologists familiar with treating SIBO with the recommended antibiotics? I've only found a few gastroenterologists that list SIBO as a specialist interest. I know it's not a well known condition. I'm nervous to see any gastroe...

Saggy skin

Having lost 2 stone due to illness at mid life, skin has gone saggy, which is a bit depressing. Will it fill back out again once a little weight is put back on?Thanks

Hormones

Hi, Used to have high oestrogen and heavy periods - had hormones tested. Treated with natural supplements. Now oestrogen has got a bit too low = 8.6 ng / mg Total oestrogen. Periods are now irregular and light. As oestrogen is now 'artificially ' low, will I be able to tell when I've entered peri-me...
