Re: Firm white bump on nose
HI
without examining it, it is impossible to say what it is, and whether it is a skin cancer or not.
Non melanoma skin cancers are rare in 30s but not unheard of.
You need to see your GP or a skin specialist to establish what it is.
with best wishes,

Re: Jewellery & rashes
Hello, although skin reaction to platinum (allergic contact dermatitis) is rare, it is still possible. Alternatively you may react to nickel contained in the ring. Alternatively soap may get trapped under the ring and irritate skin (irritant contact dermatitis). You need to see a dermatologist first...
Re: Pompholyx
Hello Charlotte, you need to sort out your eczema really. You may need a more potent steroid for the time being such as dermovate and then maintain response with elocon. You will also need plenty of very greasy moisturizers such as emulsifying ontment (do not use it straight before or after dermovat...

Re: Psoriasis scarring
Hello when psoriasis resolves it often leaves discoloration which usually fades away with time. I think this is what is happening in your case. we do not recomend super potent topical steroids in patients with psoriasis because they can sometimes cause skin atrophy (permanent marks), but we use mild...
Re: Help..
Hi sounds like discoid eczema. You will need a very greasy moisturizer (for example epaderm ointment or hydromol ointment or emulsifying ointment) to apply frequently and to wash with it instead of soap. You will probably also need moderately potent steroid ointment, you may need to try to find a do...

Re: Medical name for bacterial psoriasis infection in buttoc
Hello there is no special name for a bacterial psoriasis infection because psoriasis is not triggered by infection. But lesions of psoriasis is often colonised by staphiloccocus aureus infection, which usually does not affect psoriasis itself. However, because of the location I wonder if you may hav...

Re: Dry skin & redness - face
HI, it sounds as if you may now have a form of dermatitis. Is it itchy? It's a good idea to continue to use E45 as emollient and a soap substitute but you may need something stronger. It may also be a good idea to ask for referral to a skin specialist, because dermatitis may require a different trea...

Re: Rosacea - treatment
Hello MorrisH, rosacea can last long time but is ultimately self limiting. antibiotics (with or without rozex) need to be taken for long time - months at a time, they help with spots. Try to have a diary to note what triggers flushing and try to avoid triggers. There is no good treatment at present ...
