Dry feet

The soles of my feet, sides and mainly front of my toes and also the palm of my hands and sides and fingers are badly affected by horrible dry and very itchy crusts of dry skin, and what can be best described as open wounds as though caused by a knife blade. This makes walking extremely painful and ...

Sore on ankle

Hi - I need some help with a sore on my ankle. It doesn't hurt but it's dry. I have used sudacream, germolene, savalon and recently hydrocortisone 1% but doesn't seem to be healing. It's not got any bigger or smaller. But do you have any advice to clear it up. I've had it for months not sure how or ...

Removal of a BCC

I have a scar following the removal of a BCC a few months ago. It feels lumpy whereas I would expect it to be flat. Why is it lumpy?

Abdominal Surgery

I had abdominal surgery in October last year and the vertical scar by my belly button is very pronounced and puckered. Is there anything that I can do to help it to flatten/reduce down or will it stay raised like this?

Major burns to head

Hi A few years ago I suffered major burns to my head (largely scalp, 5 lesions to the bone, neck and shoulders), thankfully my hair has grown back. I use sunscreen now (factor 15-20) to my face neck and shoulders. The skin remains scaley. Should I also be using something on my scalp or doing anythin...

Knee replacement surgery

Hi,

I had knee replacement surgery last year and although the resulting scar is healing well, I just wondered if you have any recommendations on how to effectively improve the healing process?

Many thanks,

Old Scar

I have an old scar from years ago that is on the side of my torso. As I have got older (and bigger!) I have noticed that it seems to pull my side in. I spoke to my physio about it and she said that the scar tissue has attached itself to my ribs. Is there anything i can do about this at all? Thank yo...

Chickenpox

Both of my kids had chickenpox at the same time last year (thank goodness!), one has no scarring or anything and completely clear but the other child has a few marks and one particularly on their face, what would you advise – as I am hoping that she is young enough for it to be sorted maybe? (Cather...

Nappy Rash

I have a 13 month old daughter that over the last couple of months seems to be getting more and more frequent bouts of nappy rash. I have tried numerous creams but nothing seems to keep it away. Can you give any advice? There is so much on the market that I feel I should be able to sort it myself wi...
