I think perhaps its a form of infection, but i think you know that already. Infection spreads. The doctor should be able to give you antibiotics for it.

It seems like it could be an infection skin issue. If its spreads he needs to obtain antibiotics. In the form of tablets or creams, at least that will buy him some time before he can see a specialist. Tell him good luck.

I have that some times, i think you may need to moisten your feet with cream, and drink lots of fluids. It will go away over time, its nothing to worry about.

It could be a shaving issue. The best thing to do is not shave against the grain. If you do not then try TCP cream.
