Re: How Does Smoking Affect Asthma?

If you have asthma, just please quit smoking. It will do no good to your lungs. I have asthma, though I don't smoke, some family members do and it really triggers the attack when they smoke how much more if I do. I hope others take your advice seriously: smoking severely damages the lungs. Having a...

Re: UK based Endometriosis Research

Good luck with your survey!

I completed a survey online myself today: it was for research into COVID-19.

Anyhow, I am sure loads of people will complete your survey, Chlo Strath.

Re: Oxytocin for autism

I know a number of people with autism. They seem alright! I don't know much about the condition, though.

Re: 'Shocking discrimination' in mental health services

Some news articles can make the world seem horrible, but I keep my mind away from that kind of thing. I don't need to read articles that are about a minority - I hope - situation. That isn't to say reporting events is not important - it is - BUT there is also good in the world and we need positive n...

Re: Does diabetes affects the eyes ?

Diabetes has various eye impacts. The important one is to debilitate retinal veins prompting miniature aneurysmic expansion, central hemorrhages, significant blood holes, ischemia and neovascular development. These can influence the vision except if treated. In the event that the harm gets through ...

Re: Chiropractic treatment for backpain!!

I bought myself a new mattress and metal bedframe. This is because my back was aching on a soft mattress. Perhaps you could do the same? A new mattress - online - can be purchased for around $150 - $200. Plus, you can have your old mattress removed by the delivery people. Because if your back is hur...

Re: Meat

Food allergies are awful. But it is a fact of life. I also think every one's body works differently: including mine. It is like I have to throw away a perfectly good pack of cereal because I am allergic to it. Still, at least now I know which cereals to avoid.

Re: Dairy Allergy

I'm allergic to wheat, wheat products and brown bread. My mother also could not eat brown bread. I have to stick to plain cornflakes and white bread. I also get sick from All Bran and Museli. I simply cannot digest those foods. I also have to be careful with puff pastry and pies. Oh: I also am aller...

Re: How Does Smoking Affect Asthma?

A little content I have read when I searched about asthma: Smoke irritates the airways, making them swollen, narrow, and filled with sticky mucus. This is the reason why I don't smoke. My mother had been a heavy smoker, but I did not follow in her footsteps. I just don't want to suffocate. After 20...

Re: How Does Smoking Affect Asthma?

[/quote] Smoking destroys the health, full stop. Whether worsening asthma, resulting in lung cancer, turning fingernails yellow, blakening the teeth from the tar... smoking is bad news, period. You see those old time movies with everyone smoking: years later they now have a hacking cough and some ev...
