Re: Getting checked

If you have a family history of prostate cancer then you should consider a PSA test at 45years old. If you have Braca2 gene or multiple first degree relatives with the disease this could be done at age 40. If you are Afro-Caribbean then you also have a higher risk and should have a PSA at 45.

Re: Enlarged prostate and needing to pee often

It sounds like you have an enlarged prostate causing a secondary over active/sensitive bladder You should try some prostate relaxing tablets such as tamsulosin from the GP. Water tablets might be something else such as anti blood pressure tablets. Then i agree a referral to a centre offering one of ...

Re: Haematospermia

Haematospermia is always very worrying but thankfully unlikely to be due to a nasty cause. Most likely are small stones in the prostate or a vein on the inner prostate surface that bleeds. Reassuringly you have already had a CT and flexible cystoscopy to rule out bladder cancer or major other issues...

Re: PSA test

You should have a PSA every year if borderline like that level is .
if over 3 then a urology referral and MRI scan might reassure you.

Re: Painful

The testicular pain and difficulty urinating are different problems but might be linked. It sounds like you need a urology referral Yes they will want to examine you but that is an important part of identifying what is going on. You will need an ultrasound scan of the scrotum and bladder/prostate an...

Re: Small penis

sometimes the penis size is affected by the overlying pubic fat pad and thus will be improved by losing some weight. This can sometimes be surgically removed if impacting on the penis beneath. Severe cases are termed a buried penis There aren't any really useful medical or dietary modifications to e...

Re: ejaculation

This is not uncommon as men age and isn't dangerous As the prostate grows sometimes it effects the ability to push the semen forward at ejaculation. If you are worried then getting in to see a urologist might be helpful They could check there is not other blockage in the urethra pipe It isn't relate...

Re: Trouble pulling foreskin back

It sounds like you have developed a tight foreskin or phimosis and if bleeding and affecting your sex life then a circumcision will sort things out this can be done under a local but usually is a quick general anaesthetic operation Creams sound unlikely to turn things around at this stage You will n...

Re: Chronic Kidney Renal Failure

If you have stayed stable for 15 years then that is a great sign Surgical loss of kidney function- from a nephrectomy - is better than medical loss and thus you may be more protected than many people with CKD3 So you are likely to be fine but drink plenty to avoid infections, avoid high protein load...
