Re: Cyst on Cervix

Nabothian cysts of the cervix are quite common. They are basically a collection of mucus uncer the skin covering the cervix and usually don't need any treatment at all. If large, they can simply be "punctured" in the clinic to allow the mucus to be released. Other types of cyst, eg due to ...

Re: High Progesterone Levels

Agree with Mr Byrne, this certainly needs investigating with your Obstetrician/Gynaecologist since some of the pregnancy tissue may still be present.

Re: PCOS

If you are trying to conceive, the most important vitamin supplement is folic acid, which helps the formation of the baby's spine. While a general healthy diet with a range of foods and plenty of vegetables and fruit is important, additional vitamins are unlikely to affect your periods. Maintaining ...

Re: Three Years and Nothing

Your boyfriend coulkd have a sperm test, which his doctor should be able to organise through a local fertility clinic. Baseline tests on yourself would include assessment of egg production, which cannot be done while on the pill, and tubal patency testing. The fallopian tubes should only be tested (...

However, since your periods have become more often, it would be recommended to see your doctor. The most likley reason is change in the hormone balance, which often st...

Re: too much vaginal discharge

There is a huge variation in the amount of secretions and mucus produced by the vagina and cervix, and in how much is produced during and after sex. If the amount on a daily basis is troublesome, then see your doctor. Swabs can be taken to check for infection, and the cervix can be looked at. Someti...

Re: Leaking problems after childbirth

While waiting to see a urogynaecologist, it is worth doing pelvic floor exercises. Often a physiotherapist's input is really helpful. Sometimes for this problem, surgery is required but this is treatable. It can be hugley embarrassing but you don't have to put up with it. See more info at www.bladde...

Re: Follicular cysts/pelvic pain

Although women are often told from a scan that they have "follicular cysts", these are often findings during a normal ovarian cycle. If the area is simple and less than 5cms then it's unlikely to be significant. If recurring "cysts" then the contraceptive pill, which suppresses t...
