Hi Clarabella
Does your daughter know she needs the toilet, gets a sudden urge then wets because she can't hold on or does she not know she's wetting when it happens?

Hi Apache21.
Can I ask if your daughter has been seen by any specialists for her bladder and bowel? Has she had investigations like any scans at the hospital?

Hi Macocada I've been thinking about your message over the weekend, it's distressing waking to find the bed wet so I empathise with you finding yourself in this situation. I can't find any evidence to suggest the statin would cause leakage, so this may just be a coincidence. The Drs on this forum ma...

Hi Emmiloulou I think you should run your symptoms past your GP. You certainly won't be wasting anyone's time. I am assuming the medication you are taking for your other health conditions is contributing to your constipation? It may also be affecting your bladders ability to empty, or even reducing ...

Hi Angela. Mr Malde offers some good advice, treating your constipaion should naturally relieve your urge and subsequent accidents. Have you considered adding natural laxatives to your diet, commons ones are dried prunes and apricots but also golden linseed (flaxseed) is something that can be added ...

Re: Bedwetting in a 10 year old
Hello Just an additional thing to check with your son, to add to the excellent advice posted so far. Does he drink much fluid before he goes to bed, or late in the evening? It may be worth looking at this, and reducing fluids a couple of hours before bedtime, along with cutting back/avoiding fizzy d...

Re: Weak Bladder
Hello It sounds like you may have an overactive bladder, but quite rightly, as suggested, you should see your GP to exclude any other issues that may account for your bladder symptoms. Overactive bladder can be successfully managed and your quality of life improved, but seeking advice is the first s...

Re: Bladder infection & IBS
Hello Vaginal oestrogen plays an important role in keeping the vaginal and pelvic area rich in blood supply. Women, after menopause, who suffer with recurrent UTI's can benefit from vaginal oestrogen. This is something you must discuss with your GP, as they are not suitable for every women, but, for...

Hello
I agree with Dr Helen, active infection needs treatment with antibiotics. Of course drinking slightly more fluids (2L of water in 24hrs) during active infection is advised as well.
I hope you feel better soon
best wishes
Julie
