Re: Kefir heals my eczema

It is good that eczema CAN be treated. It is a horrible skin condition but - as you've shown - it doesn't have to be endured. The right cream will heal the skin and make the skin feel much more pleasant and much less painful.

Re: Trying to remove post-acne scars

That's brilliant, niks.p.82. I was lucky enough to not suffer with acne but I had friends who did and know the frustration and embarrassment they went through. Being called "pizza face" was very unkind. I do think acne is genetic: rather than caused by junk food. However, you've had your a...

Re: How To Cope With Stress During Covid-19 Pandemic?

I really want the vaccination. I have been fortunate so far, but don't want to press my luck. My doctor will contact me soon, I am sure. I see my doctor regularly and she knows I'll need the vaccination. But she has to go through the list of priority cases first. Anyhow, once the whole country - and...

Re: how do you lose weight?

I'd much rather have firm, defined muscles than be super-skinny.

Re: How To Overcome Depression?

I found your post interesting, imlisarichards. Having suffered anxiety and depression myself, I did not have the treatment you received. BUT I did have medication prescribed and saw a psychiatrist once in a while. I didn't suffer badly, but it is still there at the back of my mind. Because depressio...

Re: Acne Treatments Making Skin Worse

I wash my face with a gentle soap each night and have no problems with blocked pores or spots. I won't say what soap I use, but it's really good. BUT soap does not work for everyone: everyone has different skin and one-size does not fit all. I'd say if you're going to give soap a go, use a very mild...

Re: Tea Tree Oil

Lavender is incredibly good for the skin. Essential oils in general are often used in skincare products. They have a medicinal effect on the skin. I wouldn't advise mixing essential oils yourself, though: stick with readymade essential oil skincare products. They'll have the right percentage of oils...

Re: how do you lose weight?

I'm glad for you, navneet2020. Losing weight is an ongoing process. Even when you lose the weight you have to keep it off. Like just because you've lost a stone does not mean you can go back to eating fry-ups and sweets: the weight would pile back on. Losing weight is about healthy food choices and ...

Re: What Do I Say To A Friend With Anxiety?

I second MarinaTaylor's post. The best advice I've read online. I write this because MarinaTaylor's advice could've been given to me years ago. In fact, I wish it had. Anxiety is AWFUL and is hard for others to understand. Plus, it takes incredible patience to handle someone suffering with anxiety. ...

Re: Red skin and eczema

I don't have eczema but I do have a red skin flare up around my underarm area: and sometimes it's incredibly itchy. With your skin, perhaps using an aloe vera moisturiser could help? If regular moisturisers leave your skin with a burning sensation, perhaps natural products - like Neil's Yard - could...
