Re: New Medication Concerns
Sorry to hear of the side effects - no experience with Dupilumab but compiled some of its research over the past year below. I read that the conjunctivitis can be quite bad, a few instances had patients dropping out of the treatment due to the side effects. Ideally, should be seeing both the skin an...

Re: Repeated hand eczema flare up
Sorry to hear that.. no experience with hand eczema but I suppose have to figure out what's triggering the rash to stop it from flaring? The other way I can think of is to slowly reduce steroid cream, and then perhaps apply once every few days even when there's no rash to see if it will stop flaring...

Re: Abnormal liver results
Sorry to hear that.. no experience with methotrexate but its side effects do affect liver and that's why regular blood and liver tests are prescribed to monitor the side effects. I didn't see any comment on liver tests in a post that I wrote years ago on this but I do think it is important to ask wh...

Re: New sufferer and 'cures' requested
Whenever my daughter has mild eczema around eyes, we would use the mildest desonide lotion and then diligent moisturize her face with a more expensive lotion containing ceramides and reducing inflammation. Also take anti-histamines. It would then clear up within a few days and stay that way for a fe...

Re: extreme itching / scratching
so sorry to hear that.. came across this ebook while looking up behavioural treatment http://grossbart.com/SkinDeep.pdf - is it similar to what you're undergoing? I do think one part is the mind/itch/ scratch, and the other is treating the flare-ups. Have they been any way that dermatologists have h...

Re: Hand eczema and travel.
It is actually quite common to find your eczema improving when you travel! :) It could be due to many things though - like if you're allergic to house dust mites, and you get out often when you're traveling, then your flare-up reduced. Or you are not around the kind of pollen that you're allergic to...

Re: Atopic eczema
Don't think DNA test will help as researchers sort of identified the gene involved FLG gene that leads to defective skin barrier in eczema, as well as the proteins (of our immune cells) that "over-signal" causing skin inflammation. I've no experience with the dna test but I guess if there'...

Re: Eczema and conjunctivitis
Sorry to hear that.. my daughter's eyedoctor prescribed her anti-allergy eye drops but I guess the conjunctivitis must be evaluated to see the cause.. since it can be allergy, bacteria or viral.. sometimes antibiotics had helped other symptoms than the skin.. take care!

Re: HOW MY ECZEMA IS CURED and what my doctors' left out...
Hopefully the biopsy can reveal what the issues are.. as it is not usual for normal eczema to get into blistering and scratching till so much blood without so much a time of few months.. if it's not triggered by some underlying medical condition, then consider allergy test and swipe for bacteria, fu...
