Re: Makeup to cover rosacea
How did you get on with the make up testing Julie? I hope you found something that works well. Helen Thanks for asking, Helen! I recently tried mineral makeup quite unsuccessfully, but then I was fortunate enough to have someone point out that there is an actual "technique" to applying mi...

Re: Treatment of Rosacea
I've looked into lasers, too, lillyjohn. I recently interviewed Dr. Nisith Sheth from Cedars Dermatology Clinic (the full interview is here: https://treatrosacea.wordpress.com/2016/04/20/a-dermatologists-answers-to-my-top-rosacea-questions/ in case you want to see it). He also offers laser but said ...

Re: Makeup to cover rosacea
Hi AliPrenda, Thank you, that's a great tip. I just had a dermatologist tell me that mineral makeup might be a good option for me, so it sounds like you give good advice, too. My natural skin tone is extremely pale, so it can be hard to find a foundation that will provide very heavy coverage. Lately...

Re: Treatment of Rosacea
Tarramac, I can relate to your struggles in finding the right products and in having symptoms disappear for a while (so you can trick yourself into thinking you've mastered them) and then BOOM, they're back. I hope this flare-up isn't a long lasting one for you and that the stress from the last coup...

Research shows rosacea causes emotional harm
The National Rosacea Society recently published the results of a survey they conducted with the participation of 1,675 patients who have this skin condition. It showed that 90 percent felt that the impact rosacea had on their personal appearance had hurt their self-confidence and self-esteem. Anothe...

Makeup to cover rosacea
I'm looking for a bit of a makeup tip (or maybe several). I've got extremely pale skin. My foundation colour is usually called "light ivory" or something else that would equate to "pale as a ghost". However, I also have rosacea. The permanent colour is a pale-to-medium pink, but ...

Re: Treatment of Rosacea
That is really helpful, thank you. What triggers do you try to avoid? It is personal but useful to know what works for each person, especially if newly diagnosed it can be really helpful to others :D I know my triggers won't be the same as everyone else's. We all have our own unique combination of ...

Re: Treatment of Rosacea
Its great to hear you have found what works for you Julie. What creams, salves, products and laser treatment do you use? It would be great to hear more about these in detail. Thank you, Helen! At the moment, the products I'm using are as follows: - Cleanser: Face Addiction Soft Cleanser (http://www...

Shampoo and conditioner
I've used the same shampoo/conditioner for 2 years because it's hard for me to find something that will be good for my long, curly, dry hair and dry scalp, but that won't cause the skin on my face along my hairline to become irritated and flushed. A couple of months ago, my skin just suddenly starte...
