Re: Wet wrapping for adults?
Until you heal your eczema, don't be afraid to use wet wraps. Before I learned about castor oil, I used a homemade version of wet wraps for years. My eczema was heavily concentrated on my lower legs, then my forearms, upper legs, upper arms, breasts, then the rest of the body. I used cut off socks o...

Re: Wet wrapping for adults?
Wet wrapping temporarily calms the skin. It doesn't heal the skin. The skin barrier is made up of layers of dead skin cells bound together by a mixture of fatty acids, ceramides and cholesterol lipids. The barrier prevents loss of water from the deeper layers of the skin but also to stop harmful ele...

Re: Showering and eczema
A dermatologist recommended to only use soap on my stinky parts (armpits, genitals/rear, feet). Your skin barrier or acid mantle can be washed or scrubbed away. It's called the acid mantle because it has a pH between 4.5 and 5.5. Body washes can really vary in pH and Commercial soaps have a pH range...

Re: Climate/Weather and Eczema
Eczema is worse in the winter because there's less moisture in the air in the winter. The heat used indoors is a dry heat.
This was also my experience. I healed my eczema this spring with castor oil topically. The real test will be in the fall when the weather changes.

Re: Advice appreciated
From my research 1 of 3 things treat eczema: 1 Repairing the skin barrier using an oil high in fatty acids (castor oil) to repair the skin 2 Treating a leaky gut (liver) typically with probiotics 3 Diet elimination of trigger foods (typically dairy, grains and/or eggs) I agree that an allergy test i...

Re: Castor Oil Topically for Eczema
Castor Oil for Eczema in Comparison to other oils and creams It is thicker than coconut oil and hemp oil. It has more types of fatty acids than coconut oil which repair the skin. It is a cost effective oil. It is much less expensive than almost every other oil used to heal eczema. The other oils are...

Re: Questions about eczima ?
Technically there's no cure for eczema. Keep in mind that this is coming from the same medical community that's prescribing medication with side effects when there are natural treatments that make eczema a non-issue. Treatments being oils high in fatty acids such as castor oil, probiotic treatment a...

Re: I am eczema free now
I bought refined cold pressed Castor oil even though "Eczema Gone" bought generic castor oil since the pharmacy was out of it. It would keep more nutrients in the oil, my camphor would take over a month to arrive and I would be using neem oil rather than neem leaves.

Re: The Best Treatments For Eczema
The doctor/dermatologist is always the 1st line of defense when something goes wrong. It only make sense to follow their advice. Unfortunately the reason that most of us are on this site is because their prescribed topical, over the counter remedies, oral and injectable medications are either danger...

Re: what do you look for in a treatment?
I was looking to the dermatologists for a treatment since they're specialists that studied skin disorders and they've worked in the business for years. Unfortunately the only thing prescribed that worked was steroids which can not be used for long periods of time due to their side effects. After tha...
