Re: Daughter being left out at school due to eczema!

What's great about this Forum is that people living with eczema can make recommendations and suggestions about creams they've used that have helped. Just a small word of warning. There is no cure for eczema. Eczema can go away, but there is no guarantee it won't come back. No cream can cure eczema. ...

Re: cannot cope much longer

So sorry to hear things are bad for you. Have you tried Hydrapid moisturiser/emollient. It's been designed to work in harmony with DermaSilk so it may not sting like the others you mention. Not sure if Hydrapid is available on prescription but you could ask your GP. Hope you get more help, tips and ...

Re: Disturbed sleep: sweaty and too hot

Have you condsidered using DermaTherapy Bedding? There is information about this in our Eczema Care section. I'm about to trial it for my daughter, Alice's eczema - will provide feedback in a few weeks. In the US it has a Class 1 registration as a Medical Device for use in the treatment of atopic ec...

Sherry - you should contact Action Against Allergy - a charity who may be able to help you. Also, Foods Matters is another resource. Also take a look at our 'Links' section as there may also be organisations there you could contact. Also, your school will need to be trained to use an Ana-pen or Epi-...

Re: Diet Heals Psoriasis

I think the pictures do speak for themselves. I was faced with similar negativity when I suggested to my dermatologist that I put my daughter on an exclusion diet for her eczema. They said it wouldn't make a difference. But, like you, I did it anyway and it did make a difference. There's a saying - ...

Re: those times when you feel completely alone with it

Welcome to our community. I do hope that you'll be able to make some friends and feel you're not alone because we all feel alone at times. That's part of the thing with eczema.

Re: Chicken Pox and Severe Eczema!

I had the same problem when Alice's eczema was bad and she had chicken pox. We just wet wrapped her and used lots and lots of cool (from the fridge) moisturiser. She did pick some and has some scars - it was a horrible time. I do sympathise with you.

Re: 4 year old with genital eczema

Sorry to hear about your daughter. It must be very distressing for you. What have the doctors given you? Have you tried DermaSilk pants on her - available on prescription -as they will help relieve the itch. Also, use a non-bio washing product and no fabric condioner. But talk to your GP about Derma...
