Re: Advice please?

Hi I am not sure if i can be of much help but my only suggestion may seem a bit bizarre. Have you considered migraines? My father suffers terribly with migraines that can last weeks and with them he gets dizziness, numbness, aches and pains and sometimes a feeling of paralysis. Often he gets headach...

Peak flow

Hi, Could you explain the peak flow values please? My peak flow at it's very best is 420 which i appreciate is low but when first diagnosed with asthma i would average 180. Could it be that i have a small lung capacity? When my asthma is well controlled and i exercise i get out of breath quickly but...

Re: Occupational asthma

That's interesting. I had wondered if it was air conditioning spreading germs causing me to catch a cold that affected my asthma and lead to a chest infection but only because i couldnt think of another reason. In a forum someone suggested dust in the keyboards and monitors, is this likely? In the o...

Occupational asthma

I have found that when working in an office environment my asthma is often worse. I can't understand why this is, what could be the trigger there? I often get colds, chest infections and stay awake all night coughing. I am recently going back to office work after a break of 3 years and am quite worr...

Re: Doctors

I have the red bottom one but i was told i use this inhaler as preventer and reliever. Can you stop having asthma?

Hi, I was diagnosed with asthma in my late teens. As where both my siblings. All of us were between 15 and 18 when diagnosed and we believe, as do our asthma nurses that it was caused by our parents smoking. Due to the guilt my father stopped smoking. My mother didn't but since none of us no longer ...

Re: Adult Acne

As a teen i didnt suffer much with acne on my back, just face, shoulders, etc etc but my back was flawless and became my favourite feature (shame i couldnt see it much!) However as an adult it has spread to my back and i am now worried about scarring and spots on my only good area! Does anyone know ...

Re: Why now?

Hi, it is so interesting what you suggested as most of those apply to me. I am having trouble sleeping at the mo and have been under lots of stress which has been making me feel quite rough (ulcers, headaches etc) but i didn't realise either of these could affect my asthma? Also i have been on a ste...

Re: Doctors

Thanks for your reply. I am not sure how much i need my reliever but i will try and monitor it more. My inhaler (i don't have it with me at the mo, i left it in the car so can't remember the name!) is a white one that is a turbohaler(?) type. I regularly wheeze, cough and am awake with it plus asthm...

Oil on acne???

I have been reading about treating acne with oil. From what i can understand you use 30% castor oil to 70% sunflower oil and massage it into your skin once a day. You then have hot running water and lay a hot flannel over the area, leave it until it goes cold then start again until all the oil is of...
