Re: unmanageable flare ups

Don't think this is a good idea as your body would be missing out on much needed nutrients. I don't believe it is a good idea to live on just fruit for 3 months.

Re: Universal Cure in 10 days - GUARANTEED!

I don't live in a bubble. I just don't like people claiming there is a miracle cure when one does not exist. I do think it is probably sensible to end this conversation though.

Re: Universal Cure in 10 days - GUARANTEED!

I have chosen to edit this post as it was actually my husband that wrote this reply. It is not the way I would normally respond to a post. However please stop giving people false hope of a miracle cure which does not exist.

I don't believe there is a universal cure. This sounds like a scam but hopefully I am wrong.

Re: Eczema and food allergies

You can have allergy tests carried out by a doctor/specialist. My son has had RAST tests and skin prick tests to help identify his allergies.

Re: Trouble with GPs

When you see the Dermatologist next it might be worth getting him/her to write a letter to the GP requesting a certain amount of emollient per month to be prescribed. That way you should not have any issues getting the amount you need. The GP my son is under openly admits that I know more about ecze...

Re: METHOTREXATE

My son was also breastfed as a baby and has eczema, asthma and allergies. I am sure people mean well when they insist that the natural treatment will work and it is the best route. What these people neglect to think about is that decisions to use medication like methotrexate, azathioprine and ciclos...

Re: transitioning onto cows milk..

I forgot to add that the net step after the malted milk bicuits for my son is a cake. The hospital provides the recipe for us so that it has the right amount of dairy in it and so that it is baked for the correct amount of time.

Re: transitioning onto cows milk..

The dietician should be able to give you a detailed plan for this. My son is waiting for a date for his baked milk challenge at hosptal. It starts with a mcvities digestive biscuit fo the first challenge and then a malted milk a few weeks after for the second challenge. Each step uses a food that ha...

Re: M&S skinkind school uniform

We will not be getting the skinkind trousers again for the new school year as they did not last well really. We are going to try the 100% cotton school trousers from John Lewis. The polo shirts have done well though and will consider getting these again.
