he should be tested for dog allergy. Decision re re-homing can be made once you know the result

His symptoms might be due to dog allergy but they can also represent non allergic asthma.

Do you mean that you had negative tests (you 'passed' them?). If this is the case you might have non allergic sinusitis causing production of mucous. some patients present with spontaneous tongue oedema (swelling = angioedema) which might seem to be caused by an ever increasing number of foods. They are often not allergic to any food at all though. It would be best to see an allergist to have a detailed discussion and tests incl skin allergy test...

There are reliable tests for wheat allergy and coeliac disease. There are no (blood) tests for gluten intolerance other.
