Can having a major operation cause hair loss?

Is it true that having a major operation can cause hair loss?
I had nissen fundoplication surgery in April and for the last 6 weeks I've been losing a phenomenal amount of hair. Clogging the shower up and loads when I brush it. My hair is now looking very thin.
Thank you

Prevastatin and hair loss

I am aged 69 and noticed in the last five years that my hair line at the front is receding and thinning so I am having to pull my hair forward into a fringe. I have been on prevastatin for the past 20 years due to diabetes - one of the side effects is hair loss. I have seen a dermatologist who said...

Link between hair loss and high testosterone levels?

My husband is 53 and is losing his hair up top. He uses a shampoo that's supposed to help with thinning but all it does is dry out his hair. So I've started massaging argan oil into the scalp and through his hair. Can you suggest any other natural remedies to help? Also is there a link between hair...

Spots and makeup

Hi, I find that my skin is very prone to spots and to hide this I've been masking them with makeup. I've been told that this can actually make the spot problems more severe. Is this true? And if so, what can I do to stop myself from going through this cycle of developing spots that I have to hide w...

Living with spots for years

Hi, I'm now 18 and I've been living with spots for the past 4 years. Every time I think I've gotten them to go they come back. My face will be clear for a week or two then I'll break out again. I have a fairly consistent routine for my skincare - I use moisturiser, spot cream and face wash but I ca...
