Re: Reduce joint pain

Funnily enough, I get joint pain in my right knee. I am 40 years old, so aren't young, but do feel gentle movement and resting my legs help the pain. I would take painkillers, except I don't want to be dosed up on medication. I walk daily and also use a step-up to keep my knee joint supple. Tai Chi ...

Re: Best Acne Treatment I've Ever Used

Dermalmd sounds like an acne treatment those suffering should try. I don't have acne myself, but can understand the distress and embarrassment. However, I do have a skin condition on my hands: they're cracked - and yesterday - bled. It was very painful. I had to use vaseline to seal and soften the s...

Re: Medication for eczema

It is good to be aware of medications for eczema and what exactly eczema is and its causes. My brother had the condition as a child. He could not go near cats. We were lucky he was not allergic to dogs [as we owned a dog]. I remember the applications of E45 cream, after every bath. I had a lot of sy...

Re: What does arthritic pain feel like

You're right, Latrice Sang. Because there is no magic cure for arthritic pain. Of course there are painkillers and guides on gentle body movements to alleviate pain. But it won't ever completely leave. The pain - however - can be at least managed.

Re: Does acne affect your body image? Help psychologists test an online self-help intervention

I wish you the best of luck with your survey, Kate. Also, I did not have acne or suffer spots as a teenager - and don't even now - BUT I do know acne is deeply distressing and lowers self esteem. There are treatments available. And the good thing about teenagers using social media is they can resear...

Re: How Does Smoking Affect Asthma?

I knew smoking badly damages the lungs but I did not know exactly how. Your post, Latrice Sang, should be read by anyone tempted to smoke: asthma or no asthma. The biology of smoking is horrific: it is a slow form of strangulation. Anyone who understood this would not take up the smoking habit. In f...

Re: neck pain from home chest exercises

I agree with PremierPain's advice.

Also, go with what your body is able to and then increase the exercises. Do too much too soon and you'll injure yourself. Also warm-up and warm-down before and after exercise. If you build up slowly, you won't injure yourself.

Re: Bereavement

I feel great sadness with the loss the world has suffered from COVID-19. These years will be remembered always. I know if I lost my family and friends I'd be devastated: I can only imagine the pain other people are going through. I know everyone lost will be remembered and celebrated. No life is eve...

Re: 33 Depression Treatments

Depression is very common these days: and so are treatments. Both your advice makes sense. I do think it can take many years of such treatments to "heal" - or at least reduce - depression. Of course, in some cases, no treatment works. But that usually is for those who have it very severely...

Re: Allergy Management App

A brilliant idea, hannah temple. It is a great concept. I wish you all the luck!

I must say, there are a great deal of allergies and having an app to assist dealing with them is a concept you'll have no problems of producing into a final software product.

Again, do keep us updated on your project!
