moisturisers for elderly skin

Hi, a question about elderly skin. Thankfully, my parents have had their Covid jab (70s). The nurse administering the jab told my dad that his skin is very very dry. He is a stubborn man and won't readily go to his GP. What over the counter moisturisers can I buy for him?

Retinol – I know that this is the one thing that people say makes a big difference to your skin, but I don’t understand all the different types – what would you suggest?

Sunscreen

My mother has never put on sunscreen in her life and assures me that her leathery skin doesn’t need it at her age. I disagree as she looks like she has baked for years but I am sure she should still be putting cream on?

Wrinkles

As I am moving into the menopauses my skin is turning into my elderly mothers – ie all wrinkly; is there anything I can do to either prevent this as seems to be happening before my eyes! Someone mentioned to look at my oestrogen levels?

Headaches

I am 50 years old. Periods ended abruptly 8 months ago. Around days 10 to 16 and days 1 to 5 I am suffering excruciating headaches. Why is this and what can I do to resolve? So far I’ve tried a magnesium bisglycinate supplement of 500mg a day . This has not helped . I do not drink alcohol. In fact I...
