Retinol and Menopause

There is a lot if talk about how good retinol is brilliant for fighting the signs of anti aging but with the difference in skin whilst hitting the menopause what is the best way to include it in a routine

Re: Retinol and Menopause

Dear Cloleanne,

Thank you very much for your question. I think that in this respect retinol is not different from any other age group. You can use it either in the evening or morning but if your skin is a bit sensitive the next day - reduce the time how long you leave it on your skin before your wash it off and apply a moisturiser for example Cetaphil 10 min later. Be careful with sunlight and use sunscreen SPF50 - retinol can make your skin very sensitive to sunlight so you might sunburn easier.

I hope this is helpful.
With Best Wishes,
