Repeated urine infections
Guest post from Anita
My question may be totally irrelevant - so sorry in advance if it is. But can repeated urine infections lead to bladder cancer?
Best wishes

Re: Repeated urine infections
Hi Anita
Repeated urine infections should always be checked out to see if they are a symptom of something more serious. They can be common for some people and just be repeated infections but there is now evidence that this could be a sign of something more serious.
Our advice to patients with repeating infections is to request a referral to a urologist for further investigations to rule out something more serious.
I don't think we yet understand if repeated infections are a cause of bladder cancer or just a possible symptom as it is an area where we need more research.
Hope that helps.
