UTI's in pregnancy

I never had a UTI until I became pregnant and I now I’ve had three. Could it effect my baby?

Thanks

Re: UTI's in pregnancy

The simple answer is that no an uncomplicated urinary tract infection in pregnancy treated with appropriate antibiotics should not cause any harm to the unborn child. However, it is worth discussing with your GP as to whether you need regular monitoring of your urine for any infection for the remainder of the pregnancy as a precaution.
