Constipation and day time wetting issues 3yr old

Im looking for help and suggestions on potty training.

My daughter is 3yrs 8m.
We have been trying to train her now for around 1.5-2yrs on and off and continuously for the last 3months.

She is currently taking movicol daily for constipation issues. I have read there are links with constipation and wetting but how do i over come them?

She is very up and down with her toileting habbits, some days stays dry all day (with regular guidance) other days she wets upto 10+ times even when asked to go. Ive contact the gp with little outcome to rule out any other issues.
Ive tried all i can think of... rewards, potty, toilet, guiding a routine, child led, letting her pick pants and removing nappies (pull ups) from view, reduced cordial in diet and she has never ate much sugar, but does love fruit. I dont no where to go next?

Im sure its making her misrable being wet so much, as she has started crying when shes wet alot of the time (or possibly a tired issue)

We feel like we cant go anywhere or do anything and our life has been put on hold for months along with her missing out on so much.

Thank you for your message, it sounds as though you're having a very tough time but you're doing all the right things. Although it doesn't seem like it at present, things will get better with time. There is definitely a link with the bladder and bowel and so managing her constipation as you are is important. If things aren't improving then I would suggest asking your GP for a referral to a paediatrician who specialises in bladder problems to discuss other things we could try to help.
