Re: IBS
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) for the whole is managed by making changes to the diet and lifestyle. This include avoiding certain foods and triggers, increasing exercise. Stress can impact on IBS and changing the amount of fibre can help. Once such measures have failed, sacral neuromodulation may help. However the role is for a certain group of patients with IBS (diarrhoea based or mixed IBS symptoms) who are suitable for such therapy.
