Is Sacral Neuromodulation an option for me?

I have been diagnosed with OAB and currently seeing a urologist. I’ve been offered Botox but not keen on this treatment. Could Sacral Neuromodulation be an option for me?

Re: Is Sacral Neuromodulation an option for me?

Sacral neuromodulation (SNM) would be an option in most patients with overactive bladder. Sacral neuromodulation may not be suitable for patients with neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis, spina bifida or severe sciatica.

Sacral Neuromodulation does not pose any issues with recurrent urinary tract infections and voiding issues that can occur with botox. If the urologist do not provide the service then a referral to the appropriate centre is required.
