The past 4/5 days I have had the most extremely painful nipples ever. I have never had them so sore to touch or brush with a finger is agony.
I am hopeful I'm not pregnant as I knows this is mainly the first thing that's pops into people's minds.

Anyone have any idea what it could be or if not just some tips on making myself more comfortable ?!

All help appreciated.

Nipples can be very sensitive. Just by rubbing them a certain way can cause irritation/soreness (clothing wise, assuming you don't rub them yourself) It could very well be the weather, which is making them cold, thus you have sore nipples.
