Re: sweating

Sorry to hear about this problem you are having with excessive sweating. Hopefully the advice below will help.

[*]Use an antiperspirant daily - rather than deodorant.
[*]Black or white clothing can minimise the physical signs of sweating
[*]Avoid wearing tight and/or restrictive clothing
[*]Avoid wearing clothing made from man made fibres; especially clothes with a high nylon content
[*]Armpit shields are widely available, these will protect your clothing
[*]Be aware that drinking alcoholic drinks and eating spicy foods can increase sweating

If you tried the above but this has not brought about an improvement you could try a stronger antiperspirant containing aluminium chloride; your GP can prescribe this or you can purchase it from a pharmacy. These stronger antiperspirants are applied before bedtime and then you wash it off in the morning; please read the product information to make sure that the product is suitable for you and to ensure that you are using it correctly.

If none of the above advice helps control your problem I would recommend that you visit your GP, as there are additional treatments available to control excessive sweating.

Hope this helps, please let me know if you have any further questions.

Best wishes,

Rod.
