Cervical Pain
Hi there, about 6 weeks I started with extreme pain in the urethra (which was swollen) and the cervix. Prior to this I was getting pain in the overy area after sex. Despite 5 different tests showing no infection, just blood in the urine, my GP has given me 7 different antibiotics over the last 5 weeks. He says my cervix looks fine and now says I have vaginoisis which I can't believe. I have no pain or burning on urination, no discharge and no smell, just terrible non stop pain. My last two periods have only lasted less than a day each. I am now prescribed Tramadol the pain in the cervix is so bad, but the GP won't refer me on to any one. I am unable to drive due to pain, extremely tired and getting depressed now and my husband is very worried about me as my mother had cervical cancer. The GP says I don't fit the NHS guidelines for referral to gynacologist. I am 44 years old. Has anyone else had this problem with pain in the cervix or something similar?

Re: Cervical Pain
So sorry to hear about your situation. It is very unusual for your GP not to refer you if you are still in pain and he/she is unable to find the root cause and treat your condition.
We would suggest you ask your GP again to refer you - alternatively ask to see a different GP in your surgery - perhaps one who specialises in women's / gynae and ask them to refer you.
Please let us know how you get on.
