2 year itch.. at my wits end!!! Help!

Okay. I have seen 3 different OB/GYN professionals, a dermatologist and have an appointment with my last resort next week (an allergist) for about 2 years now I have had an awful issue; my labia skin is essentially raw and cracking constantly with zero explanation. I am not scratching it or irritating it. I have had a biopsy done and it came back lichen simplex chronicus and I have been given several rounds of steroid cream regiments that have done absolutely nothing for me.. once I stop using them the issue comes right back. I have switched all my products to hypoallergenic, non scented neutral stuff, my laundry detergent has been switched to a free and clear, my last resort is the allergist to see if there is something I’m eating or anything that we have over looked. I’ve tried home remedies, epsom salt baths etc.. nothing helps! 90% of the time I am uncomfortable and my labial skin is in complete disarray. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this or have any advice at all?! It is patches of red raw itchy skin and it often gets so bad that a crack in the skin will form as well. I am in desperate need of relief!! This has been going on for too long and everyone seems to just want to keep throwing steroid creams at me.

Thanks for your post in the forum. So sorry to hear about your condition and how frustrating it must be for you.

Unfortunately we are unable to give specific medical advice to you but have found there is a leaflet that may have some useful information for you though. You may want to go back to the GP and explain that the steroids are still not working though and discuss all your options as the leaflet mentions some alternatives?
