Thrush question?

Sorry of this is a bit tmi but would love some advice. I'm a worrier and this lockdown makes my mind go into overdrive.

Basically me and my partner treated ourselves 2 weeks ago for a bout of thrush. He took fluconazole and I took a pessary and applied canesten cream.
However he still has thrush but its much worse. We had intercourse last night and he told me after that he still had it.

Now I'm paranoid I felt burning when he kind of finished lol.
Obviously he will be treating himself again. As for me will I definitely get it again. If so surely I can't take the pessary again so soon?

Re: Thrush question?

Hi Tigz2020,

Thanks for posting on the forum.

Sadly, we are unable to give out specific medical advice to you, but urge you to either seek out an opinion from your GP by arranging a telephone appointment, or contacting the national sexual health helpline free on 0300 123 7123. Your call will be treated with sensitivity and in strict confidence. The Sexual Health Helpline is open from 9am to 8pm, Monday to Friday.

Here is some info on thrush from the NHS:
