mastitis (not breastfeeding)

Hi,
I'm in my early 20s and have been getting mastitis since September 2020. I got fine needle aspiration and the infection went away, but returned a week after I was told I could end my antibiotics 3 days before my 4 week plan. I had to get another aspiration and was put on the same antibiotics, but stopped again after taking them for 1 day because I got constant fevers. The surgeon had to drain my breast with an incision and it was the most pain I've ever felt, and I never want to feel that again. This experience has given me extreme anxiety and I'm paranoid about anything touching my breast. I have an appointment with an infectious disease specialist soon, and I'm wondering what to expect there. I've also been looking into surgery for getting either 1 or all of my milk ducts removed, since the breast surgeon told me my milk ducts are dilated and probably causing the infection. Has anyone had those surgeries before? How was your experience, and how long was the recovery? Thanks :)
