Itchy and sensitive

Hi.

I'm a 32 year old female.

In January my left breast started getting very itchy and very sensitive when my nipple came out. One morning I woke up to having a clear yellowish gel like discharge on the nipple. This happened only once.

In my journey to figure out what is wrong, I've been to my gyno and doctor. I've been to an endocrinologist to be tested for elevated prolactin levels and have a MRI on my pituitary gland, all normal. Endocrinologist said this breast issue wasn't caused by hormones.

My gyno referred me to a breast specialist/surgeon. She ordered a mammogram and sonogram of my breasts. Both came back normal.

Breast specialist believed it was a tiny clogged duct (so tiny that she couldn't see it) that they needed to take out and have a biopsy on.

The breast surgeon waited because at that point she wanted to see what the endocrinologist said, to see if it was a hormone issue. It's not.

I made a follow up appointment with the breast specialist since she would be my best bet to see what's wrong.

Another thing is this past month I now have the same itchiness and sensitivity in my right breast as well. So now it's both beasts.

My breasts have no redness, no rash, no swelling, nothing looks different physically. I haven't changed detergent or soaps. They are just itchy periodically, get sensitive went my nipple comes out/and when the nipple is pressed up against something. The water pressure in my shower on them causes great discomfort as well.

Please let me know what you think. I'll answer any questions you have.

Re: Itchy and sensitive

Hi Jackie2587,

Sorry to hear of your breast symptoms with no obvious cause. Hopefully other members who may have experienced something similar may be able to help you. It sounds like you are doing the right thing by having a follow up appointment with your breast specialist. Do let us know how you get on and what they think.

Kind regards
