Osteoporosis

One of the things my doctor has told me I'm going to have to be careful of due to my early menopause is osteoporosis. He recommends that I start taking HRT to help this but I'm not sure whether I want to be going down the HRT route or not. Has anyone else got any advice/thoughts on this?

Re: Osteoporosis

I wouldn't hesitate to go onto HRT. I went through early menopause and it has helped me with my symptoms and as you say is advisable for helping prevent osteoporosis. I don't intend staying on it after I'm 50 and at that point I will have to have regular bone density checks. There's lots of information available on-line about HRT and if you start talking you'll find that more people are on it than you probably think!!
