burning pain low abdomen wakes me at night

I am new to forums but need another opinion other than my GP's.

My periods stopped 18mths ago when I stopped taking the pill (aged 46 then) and haven't bled since. Blood discovered in uterus 6 months later (found by accident during scan for cause of chronic constipation) removed by hysteroscopy - told by gynae that uterus looked peri-menopausal, endometrium thin. Another scan 1 year later shows blood again but still not bleeding. Am booked for another hysteroscopy to remove blood in January 2013 and have tried unsuccessfully to bring this forward. But am having new sensation (last few weeks) of icy/burning over skin around groin area into top of legs. Feels horrible and wakes me . . . have told GP but no comment from her as to whether this is a problem/warning sign.

I have four kids, should I be waiting patiently and taking paracetamol or going to A&E? Temperature fluctuates and no rash.

Any gynae advice??
