Menapause?

I would like to talk to someone who has experienced what I am going through. I am 50 years old, and have been spotting/bleeding for about a month now. 2 days ago, I started bleeding heavily with cramps. I am thinking that menapause is here, but what Im not sure about is this: is this normal or should I contact my gyno dr?? I am having no pain or odor, except for the cramps which has always been normal for me during a regular period.

Re: Menapause?

Although irregular bleeding can be caused by the hormonal changes at the time of the menopause, this pattern of bleeding does indicate that you should arrange an appointment with your GP or Gynaecologist. It is important to investigate the irregular bleeding and eliminate any possible more serious causes.
