Weakness on one side of face

I’m beginning to notice more and more the weakness and differences in each side of my face. I’m starting to wonder where it came from and I don’t know how to fix it. It makes me feel like I’m a freak and everyone stares. I have one eye bigger then the other and then one side of my face looks like someone stretched it the long way.

Hi there, thanks for feeling brave enough to share your story and photograph with the forum. We understand how difficult it can be when you feel self-conscious about certain aspects of your face/body so this must have been a massive step for you. Have you tried speaking to your GP? If you can physically feel a weakness, we always recommend visiting your doctor to get a full examination to resolve the issue.

If you're feeling really concerned about this and it's affecting your mental health, have you confided in a friend or loved one? It might really help by sharing your concerns with someone, and there are also plenty of charities online that offer support such as https://www.mind.org.uk/ who can help talk through any issues you are experiencing.

Our free well-being support programme also features mental well-being topics to help offer additional support: http://www.talkhealthpartnership.com/psp/wellbeing.php

We hope this helps, the talkhealth team

Fall season is beautiful and challenging at the same time. While people are here finding joy in the pumpkin spiced lattes, your skin needs some rejoicing through it. The fall season can make your skin dry and flaky which is why having a proper skincare routine is a necessity more than a requirement. Include nourishing products that hydrate and moisturize the skin during the season.
