Panniculits

I was diagnosed with panniculits on my upper thigh and hip. I was hoping you could tell me more about this . All I have been told is that it is infectioun/inflammation of tone of the skin layers and that it is made worse by the cold. As it heals it leaves an indent on my leg. It is painful to touch and has lasted several months . When one spot heals I got another.
Is there anything I can do to prevent this and manage it ?
Thank you

I would suggest that you return to your GP who may want to run some more tests, as per link above.
Thanks
