Anxiety and herbal relief

There used to be a herbal remedy called Kava Kava that helped with anxiety, but it is no longer on the market. Is there something similar that treats mild anxiety symptoms?

Re: Anxiety and herbal relief

Hi,

My understanding is that Kava Kava has been banned for sale in some countries including the UK due to some concerns about liver damage.

I would suggest that if you found this helpful you consider going for an appointment with a complementary therapist who specialises in herbal remedies and see what they can recommend as an alternative. Please be very careful though as all herbal treatments that are not regulated could be harmful. If you are already taking any other medications or have underlying medical issues please check with your GP before you take anything new. The only one that seems to be accepted by the general medical establishment is chamomile in tea form so you could also give that a try first.

I hope you find something else that works for you.
