Small penis

Hi i have a problem, my penis is as small as a micro penis when flaccid, but I have a normal sized erection, could there be something wrong with me? It is quite embarrassing to be seen naked. Please help. I am 23.

Re: Small penis

I see a lot of men with problems around penile length. Sometimes it is due to a physical or medical condition which damages the penis. Other men put on a lot of weight and the penis retracts a bit. Normally there is no physical problem to find and the penis is a normal size and shape. Things may look different compared to images you may see online or in magazines, for example, if you are circumcised or not. A true micro penis is usually less a than a few cms long and obvious from birth due to genetic problem. I hope that you feel more confident going forward in life and remember If you can wee normally and have sex things are probably ok.

Re: Small penis

Dear Jlf123456
Thank you for your post. I suggest you see your GP or a Urologist who can examine you to check for any underlying condition that can cause a micropenis. This can then answer the question that you have asked. Flaccid penis size can vary between men and as you have mentioned become ‘normal’ size when erect. Some urologists have expertise in managing small penises. Some have sex therapists as part of a team approach of care. How you feel about yourself naked is important. Sharing thoughts and anxieties you may have by talking with a sex therapist can be helpful. Sex therapists are trained to talk about sex in a confidential, relaxed and safe environment. The New Male Sexuality by Bernie Zilbergeld is a book that men of all ages can find helpful to read. Information about emotions is included as well as other facts for men about sexual function. I hope you have found this advice helpful.
