Pain after knee replacement
Can you suggest anything to help with knee pain. I had my knee replaced in 2009 and has become very painful cannot be referred back for another 2 years. I take glucosamine, cod liver oil, garlic and rosehip. Given exercises by physio which I do but all doctor will give me is cocodamol.

Hi,
It might be worth asking your GP referring you back to your physio for a detailed assessment of your knee to work out the cause of the pain. There are also other pain mediating modalities that your physiotherapist may be able to recommend/use once he/she has determined the source of your knee pain.

Pain in a replaced joint can have several serious causes including loosening and infection. You should ask your GP to arrange investigations and if necessary refer you back to see your orthopaedic surgeon.
