Baricitanib
Has anyone been prescribed this treatment? Consultant has suggested this instead of abatacept but there are apparently cost implications!
Also any thoughts on tramadol and the effects on the digestive system? High fibre diet and drinking prune juice don't seem to help....

Re: Baricitanib
Hi There, I have been taking Tramadol combined with paracetamol for pain for years. I gave up meat and this helped a great deal but now I do have to use bisacodyl (laxative) or my digestion just stops. Everyone is different though and just because it worked for me does not mean it will work for you but it is worth a chat to your consultant?

Re: Baricitanib
Hi,
Baricitanib is a new drug used in RA.
It can work very well, and is well worth a shot.
Any one drug may not work in an individual.
There is no method of predicting this.
I would go with your Rheumatologists recommendation.
Thanks
Sandeep

Re: Baricitanib
Thanks for the suggestions! Certainly something to consider discussing with the GP and rheumatology consultant.
